Honestly, chances are you probably don’t know best

Ok, so I have “picked” a little bit on the “dinosaur developers” who just developed the web site that the client has asked for. However, we have all done this and quietly bit or teeth whilst thinking this is all wrong – but the customer knows best, right?

Well actually, if you are the business owner and you are looking at having a new site developed or re-doing a current site, chances are you are probably don’t know best when it comes to building a really successful web site.

In fact chances are that you are re-developing your site because the current one isn’t working properly, so why not really listen carefully to your web developer/online marketing advisor as you are paying them good £ for their advise anyway?

It is in the greatest interest of the developer/agency to build you a successful site that you will be happy with so you might pass their details on and so you will continue to work with them in the future on further development. A web site isn’t a “tick the box, all done”, it is very much an evolving thing as the web keeps changing.

You have years of experience in your business, but the developer/agency has year of experience doing web sites and they genuinely really know what work, what will make your customers find you and equally important what will convert them into a customers for you.

So do ask questions, challenge the options, but at the end of the day listen to the advise, and the proof will be in the web stats and conversions from your site…
