You may have seen the news about Axis Centre yesterday (see below). As part of the restructuring within Castle College, Jonny Green will be leaving the post of Head of AxisCentre. Obviously we are sorry that Jonny will be leaving but welcome his continued involvement in eChampions and plans for his eMarketing & Persuasive Content Development course.

For eBusiness Champions it's business as usual - our funding remains in place through to April 2012 and the team will continue to offer the support, events and expanding community that's all part of the programme. Many thanks for your support so far and we look forward to working with you in the future.

Announcement on the future of AxisCentre - published 4th of May 2010

With Castle College undergoing a restructure and various rumours circulating about the future of AxisCentre, we wanted to make a statement on the future of the entity and how changes recently announced may affect our customers.

We can confirm that the AxisCentre as an entity remains firmly in the plans of Castle College going into next year and beyond.  The focus going forward will be on growing the innovative eChampions community, and continuing to deliver the highly regarded UCPD Commercial Application of the Web programme, both of which are the result of our long standing partnership with De Montfort University.

However, it has been necessary to reduce costs and the main effects of the restructure are that Jonny Green will be leaving the post of Head of AxisCentre, that a rebrand of the AxisCentre to a new name is likely to take place, and that the centre will move from Middle Street back to the main Beeston Campus of Castle College.

It’s important to stress that aside of these factors that it’s business as usual and that a near identical range of courses and support will be on offer from September 2010 onwards.

A new era starts here

Jonny plans to remain involved with eChampions events in his own time, and plans to return as part-time trainer from September to continue to deliver the now ‘iconic’ eMarketing & Persuasive content development course. Jonny comments:

“I’ve had 15 years with Castle College and had a fantastic time training and working with thousands of customers over this time, a large number of which have become good friends.  I hope in some small way the centre has reflected our shared values over my time in charge, and history shows it to be adept at reinventing itself as circumstances change.  This is simply the next era for myself and for the centre; both of which I’m sure have interesting and exciting futures ahead.”

More information will be released at the appropriate times, until then feel free to book any course and the team look forward to continuing to help you realise your  professional and business ambitions online.
